Ambient Energy
Updated 1/22/12
Upon this 15th day of July, 2008, we are pleased to announce the entry
by KDX Worldround Radio into the emerging field of solar and ambient energy. As of
this time the first project has been initiated through a $5 grant to
Home School College and will consist of a 15 watt solar collector
system providing free voltage to our KDX microtransmitter operating at
1680 KHz AM with 1/10th of a watt into the final output, providing streaming radio throughout
the Internet Building in Forest Park, home of KDX. Design engineering
predictions indicate that surplus voltage will also supply a cooling
fan and area lamp.
Upon successful completion of phase one, the second tier of this venture
will produce 1,000 watts powering the KDX radio program workstation and
related equipment. After that point we will probably be experts and, if
there's anything left of the modern world, we'll go for bigger power
until that day of independence from the grid.
